From Material Consciousness to Spiritual Consciousness
Purpose
This book was written for Christians and Christian Scientists. “Christian Science and Christianity are one.” (S&H 372: 17-18)
The purpose of this book to make the metaphysical transition from our material sense of consciousness back to our real and eternal spiritual sense of consciousness. In spiritual metaphysics — when sickness, sin, disease, death, derangements, and disarrangements, disappear from human consciousness — we are all healed instantaneously when the material belief is gone from mortal consciousness.
I believe that we all have a material sense of consciousness and a spiritual sense of consciousness. This is true no matter what our race, color, sex, or creed. I also believe that our material sense of consciousness is the unreal and temporal while our spiritual sense of consciousness is the real and eternal.
Preface
The purpose of this book is to show us how to make the metaphysical transition from our material sense of consciousness back to our original spiritual sense of consciousness.
This is symbolized by the use of colors and words on the back cover of this book. Looking at the back cover of the book, you will see the white area which represents the Elohim, and indicates the plurality of the sum total of the spiritual conscious universe, which includes spiritual conscious God, Christ, Science, Christ man, the spiritual conscious universe, and all that in the spiritual conscious them is. The black, red, and pink area indicates the material conscious material man and the material conscious universe. The gray area indicates the Son of man, Christianity, and Christian Science. It acts as a mediator, boundary, and vestibule between the spiritual conscious universe and the material conscious universe
If you are a Christian or a Christian Scientist, you qualify for the Son of man, here and now, yesterday, today, and forever.
This metaphysical transition is also explained by using numerous quotations from The Authorized King James Version of the Bible and the Works of Mary Baker Eddy. For example: “For this corruptible must put on incorruption and this mortal must put on immortality.” (1 Corinthians 15:53) From the Authorized King James Version of the Bible.
For this materially conscious corruptible must put on spiritually conscious incorruption and this material conscious mortal must put on spiritually conscious immortality.
“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God; therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. (1 John: 3:1-3)
Behold, what manner of spiritually conscious love; the spiritually conscious Father hath bestowed upon the spiritually conscious Son of man us; that the spiritually conscious Son of man we; should be called the spiritually conscious Christ Sons of God; therefore the materially conscious world; knoweth the spiritually conscious Son of man us not; because the material conscious it knew the spiritually conscious Son of man him not. Beloved, now are we the spiritually conscious Christ Sons of spiritually conscious God; and it doth not yet appear what the spiritually conscious Christ we shall be: but the spiritually conscious Son of man we know; that when the spiritually conscious He shall appear; the spiritually conscious Christ we shall be like the spiritually conscious Him; for the spiritually conscious Christ we shall see the spiritually conscious Him as the spiritually conscious He is. And every spiritually conscious Son of man that hath this spiritually conscious hope in the spiritually conscious Him; purifieth him-spiritually conscious Christ-self, even as the spiritually conscious He is pure.

Only as we the spiritually conscious Son of man, rise above all material conscious sensuousness and material conscious sin, can we the spiritually conscious Christ, reach the heaven-born Christ aspiration and spiritual consciousness, which is indicated in the Lord’s spiritually conscious Prayer and which instantaneously spiritually heals the materially conscious sick.
“Man is spiritual and perfect; and because he is spiritual and perfect, he must be so understood in Christian Science.” (S&H 475: 11-13)
Spiritually conscious Christ man; is spiritual and perfect; and because he, the spiritual conscious Christ; is spiritual and perfect; he the spiritually conscious Christ; must be so understood by the Son of man in the vestibule of spiritually conscious Son of man Christian Science.
“God will heal the sick through man, whenever man is governed by God.” (S&H 495: 1-2)
God will heal the sick through the spiritually conscious Son of man; whenever the spiritually conscious Son of man; is governed by spiritually conscious God. Sees himself and his patient as the Christ the Son of God.
Looking at the back cover of the book, note that the Christ man manifests divine Science; the Son of man manifests Christian Science; and the son of man manifests material science; also, the Christ man manifests spiritual metaphysics; the Son of man manifests the metaphysics of Christian Science; and the son of man manifests material metaphysics.
This book includes multitudes of quotations like those above. The intent is to show us how to make the metaphysical transition from our material consciousness back to our original spiritual consciousness. From our material sense of being, back to our original spiritual sense of being. From the material conscious man, to the spiritually conscious Son of man, and to our original spiritually conscious Christ man. And from the material conscious universe back to our original spiritual conscious universe.
This book was written, because of the multiple meaning of words in the works of Mary Baker Eddy and the Holy Bible. For example, the word man could be the material son man; the Son of man, as exemplified by Christ Jesus; or the spiritual Christ man as exemplified by spiritual metaphysics. I believe it is necessary to know the meaning of these words and others, to understand the full meaning of these works.
In the daily reading of this book, reread this Preface before you study at least one consecutive quotation and its interpretation a day. If you do this, you will read the book approximately twice in one year.
Look at page five of this book, and read the 4th an 5th paragraphs from the top of the page, and you will understand why I wrote this book.
Look at a sheet of white paper, and call it an infinite sphere, of the spiritual universe. Now take a pencil and put a dot on the paper, and call it the sum total of the material conscious universe. And note that not even a speck of the material universe can exist in the infinite, spiritual metaphysical universe.
“A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive.” (S&H 463:2-13)
A spiritual spiritually conscious Christ idea (man), has not a single element (speck) of material conscious error, and this spiritually conscious truth removes properly whatever is materially offensive; and instantaneously heals the sick.
I have an audio recording of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, which was authorized by the Christian Science Mother Church. It was given to me by my son. I listen to it many hours throughout the day. I also mentally locate on the painting, the area I think she is referring to, while listening to the recording.
I have included a fold out of the back cover, at the end of the book, to be used as a reference, as we progress in reading the book. Looking at this fold out note that; The Christ man manifests spiritual Science, the Son of man manifests Christianity and Christian Science, and mortal man manifests material science. Also, the Christ man manifests spiritual metaphysics, the Son of man manifests the metaphysics of Christianity and Christian Science, and mortal man manifests material metaphysics.
The Christ man looks to God, Mind for his eternal, spiritual conscious life, truth, love, and health.
The son of man looks to mortal mind for his material conscious life, love, and health. “Mortals are the counterfeits of immortals” (S&H 476:1 only). Material conscious mortal man is the counterfeit of the spiritually conscious Christ man.
The Son of man looks at both the Christ man and son of man for his health, life, and wellbeing.
The reason there is a material universe is because of “the law of opposites.” The opposite of the spiritual universe is the material universe. Christianity and Christian Science act as the boundary, mediator, and vestibule between the two and are manifested through the Son of man.
“It is a false supposition, the notion that there is real substance matter, the opposite of Spirit. Spirit, God is infinite, all. Spirit can have no opposite.” (S&H 278:8) When matter and boundary disappear and leaves nothing but Spirit.
When you replace, the material you, for the spiritual you, you will heal yourself and others.
Mortal belief is a supposition, that material belief is real and temporal, and ends in sin, disease, and death.
“Jesus beheld in Science the perfect man, who appeared to him where sinning mortal man appears to mortals. In this perfect man the Saviour saw God’s own likeness, and this correct view of man healed the sick.” (S&H 476-32-4)
Spiritually conscious Christ Jesus, the Son of man; beheld in spiritually conscious Science, the perfect spiritually conscious Christ man; who appeared to spiritually conscious Christ him; where sinning material conscious mortal man; appears to materially conscious mortals. In this spiritually conscious perfect man, the spiritually conscious Saviour, saw spiritually conscious Gods, own spiritually conscious likeness, and this correct view of spiritually conscious man, healed the materially conscious sick.
The two above paragraphs can be used as a guide in Christian Science healing.
